This moment was possibly the sweetest thing Damon could have done for her. He knew that he was going to have to kill her and he wasn’t liking the idea of that but he wanted her last moments to be good and I really liked that. I cried when he had to stake her and then he stared crying and my heart went out for him. He’s trying to be a good guy now even if he doesn’t realize it. He’s been told for over a century that he’s bad and that he needs to be killed or that he’s not good enough. He’s been told this so much that he believes it and now that he’s good he doesn’t think of himself as being good. Which is really sad.
